Venturesport is a retail operation with the simple aim of providing outdoor leisure equipment and clothing at value for money prices.

Affinity New Media, web design and database development specialists in Norwich were commissioned to build an E-Commerce facility for them. The site is powered by the Affinity Media Assistant with authorised Venturesport staff updating all product information (stock, prices etc) in a quick and easy manner.

Close analysis of site traffic enables Affinity to fine tune the design to gain maximum click through to purchase conversions.

The decision not to integrate with existing point-of-sale and stock control systems was made to enable Venturesport to undertake a phased development plan whilst ensuring the ROI existed online.

Initially Venturesport selected a range of products based on key term activity provided by Affinity’s online marketing division - Affinity i-Marketing. These products were highlighted on the site and profiled as promotional panels within the design.

Close analysis of the success of this promotional activity has enabled Affinity to look at a phased promotional campaign whilst ensuring strict ROI criteria are adhered to.

A monthly E-shot highlighting special offers and key products is sent to all previous purchasers every 3 weeks. The site benefits from substantial click throughs and purchases following this activity with careful monitoring and tracking providing invaluable monthly marketing feedback.
