Lathams Fishing Site Hooks More Anglers

Lathams Fishing have relaunched their new-look site after a comprehensive redesign and redevelopment programme by Affinity.

Established as a retail store in 1963, the Lathams Fishing brand has become synonymous with quality, choice and value amongst the angling community. The move into online trading in 2005  saw Lathams become one of the market leading online angling stores in the UK. With the redevelopment programme Lathams were looking to take advantage of their customer’s more sophisticated online shopping habits and to increase market share.

“This was an important project for Affinity”, explained Project Team Leader Karl Izzard. “It was not just a redesign of the front-end but a complete redevelopment of the site’s back-end that would give Lathams far more control and options for retailing the site. A sophisticated ‘My Account’ facility was introduced for existing and new customers that have significantly improved the user experience. We have even upgraded the hosting environment as projections show a significant increase in site traffic in the next 6-12 months.”

Affinity’s sister company, Affinity i-Marketing are responsible for managing Lathams Fishing PPC, ecrm and SEM campaigns on an ongoing basis.
