Extranets are portals on the internet that control access to information through log ins and can be used to provide vital communication links within an organisation spread countrywide. They can be accessed from any PC or laptop and our clients have found them indispensable in bringing together their different elements.
This same structure can be applied within a company’s IT set up and this is what is meant by an intranet. Employees are able to access information, be provided specific details according to their position within the company, even organise intercompany social events. Any communication can be centralised through an intranet system that will make employees feel more connected and informed.
