The Brief

A website re-design for Unwin’s online presence www.unwins.co.uk (previously unwinsdirect.co.uk)

Their brief to Affinity consisted of the redesign of their existing website which was to centre around a new complex and bespoke content management system which was to be created by Affinity and run on Affinity’s Control Centre system. This would allow not only for their existing data but also enable extra functionality on the website for example enabling the input of sowing times and flowering times across all seeds in the Unwins range.

To encourage their target audience of first time growers, Unwins were keen to add growing information on a number of plants in the range and they were also keen to keep elements in the new design consistent with their existing corporate identity and catalogues which still cater for a large amount of direct mail customers.
