Our Approach
A clean and easily navigatable layout with themed branding and promotional areas.
The existing website was already converting large quantities of sales and we didn’t want to alienate the existing customer base.
The new homepage centred around elements that we had previously tracked and new that existing placements were working well.
The site was kept white and light and many of the small banners used are modernised versions of existing banners. We were careful to make sure that even with the new design, the existing customers recognised easily that they had reached the correct website.
With so many individual packs and categories, we wanted to maximise the search facility available on the website, to enable the quickest path to the products. This was done on the homepage by having 2 large search boxes, immediately making the split between whether you are looking for packs or costumes. The background to these boxes is also used along with the logo to theme the website to up coming events, such as Halloween and St Patricks Day to help promote seasonal sales.
