Affinity Win Tender to Produce Virtual Museum
An exciting partnership between national publisher Archant plc and Norfolk County Council has appointed Affinity to produce a ‘Virtual Museum’ that will extol the virtues of Norfolk. The project was initially publicised in the Eastern Daily Press which asked it’s readership to vote on a wide variety of what were their favourite elements of Norfolk – everything from Icons, Artefacts, Food & Produce and even Smells!
Affinity’s Managing Director revealed some of the processes that the Virtual Museum of Norfolk will be using to hook visitors. “This is one of the most technically challenging and creative briefs we have worked on this year. Our remit is to produce a virtual version of a real museum that engages the user with very high levels of interactivity. We will combine this with a site that will have a huge depth of available resource for the user. The result will be a unique and engaging experience for anyone interested in Norfolk.”
With Norfolk luminaries such as Delia Smith, Stephen Fry, Bernard Matthews and Henry Blogg making appearances, the Virtual Museum is set to become a major talking point within the region.
